On October 4th & 5th, 2018 ,pedestrian traffic was made the central topic in Graz under the motto “Actively mobile on foot: transforming public spaces and safe livable streets”.

During speed-dating sessions, the “Master plan for cycling in Klagenfurt with consideration of pedestrian traffic” and the project “optimized urban space – walk & bike” were presented using the example of Schmiedgasse in Graz.
In a so-called “walkshop”, Georg Huber led interested parties from the Minoritensäle conference venue to the Schmiedgasse Innovation Zone and presented project goals and the ongoing surveys. The experts present provided ample opportunity for discussions on the design of the various mobility spaces along the way.
