Austrian business delegation in Tehran
In order to improve the friendly relations between Tehran and Vienna, Federal President Heinz Fischer is leading a high-ranking delegation of politicians, businessmen, cultural and scientific experts to Iran from September 7 to 9.
He will be accompanied by Vice Chancellor, Minister of Science and Economy Reinhold Mitterlehner (ÖVP), Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz (ÖVP) and President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Christoph Leitl. PLANUM is represented by Managing Director Dr. Kurt Fallast. Immediately after the successful conclusion of the long-running nuclear negotiations in Vienna with the agreement of July 14, 2015, Federal President Heinz Fischer, as host of these historic negotiations, announced a visit to Tehran at the invitation of President Rohani.
The agreement forms the basis for the expansion of friendly relations between Tehran and Vienna. The opening of Iran offers new opportunities for Austrian business operators in general and in particular for offices such as PLANUM, which can provide European know-how in the field of infrastructure renewal.
The event in Tehran served as an important platform to get to know the country and its people better and was successfully used as a networking event – in order to obtain orders, the participation of a local partner is indispensable.
