After about nine months of processing by the PLANUM office, the Masterplan Radfahren Klagenfurt was presented on January 29, 2018 in the Spiegelsaal of the Carinthian provincial government. The project was carried out with the involvement of the neighboring communities of Klagemfurt in coordination with a project-accompanying group, which consisted of representatives of the administration, tourism, executive, economy, bicycle lobby and other stakeholders.

For the thematic areas, corresponding action strategies and focal points are presented in the Master Plan Cycling Klagenfurt. The lead projects in turn build on these. These clarify which concrete measures the City of Klagenfurt and the Province of Carinthia respectively want to implement in the short term in order to make the Master Plan Cycling in Klagenfurt visible and to clarify the attitude of the City of Klagenfurt and the Province of Carinthia respectively towards cycling.
