The result is presented in this report. The route selection behavior of transalpine road freight transport is examined in more detail and the reasons for taking detours are investigated.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The analysis shows that a significant proportion of the truck journeys made via the Brenner are detour journeys and that a hypothetical toll adjustment in the Brenner corridor would lead to traffic shifts that would influence the extent of these detour journeys.
